Boys bag the lady

Ada, this is for you

At the peak

This was the view from The Peak. It was a foggy night.

Minne and I

Looks like a frame off the show ain't it. But it was 3D. Or 4D. Or what do you call it if you can touch it? RealiD?

Nope, this is still in Disneyland. The Tarzan section. The whole tree was fake. They even built a tree house in it.

Very Angkor Wat. Still Disneyland.

They take fantasy seriously.

Gonna fetch Phil from the Future

Princess land

This was the fairytale street I was talking about, everything is real you can actually walk into the shops and buy what they sell.

Another HK skyline. I went up to 'The Peak'-the highest point supposedly- hoping to catch some funky nightlights but it was too foggy so this was the best day shot I could snap.

This was at a certain beach.

This picture is so typically HK I had to post it.

The first day out I saw people promoting openly Falun Gong. I even took the brochure. Just because it is illegal in Singapore.

The apartment buildings there are especially high, and congested. Many units clammed into a single block. A normal block is about 36 storeys.

This is their 'Guardian'. They call it 'Mannings'

Hong Kong was definitely enjoyable. Not so much a historically, culturally rich country but still unique in itself. Not to mention how it was not Singapore. Very hilly, rocky roads. More polluted but who cares? Shopping was fantastic, whacking myself for not getting more of those Disneyland pens. *On a side note: If you think you are mature enough, do not go into Disneyland expecting heart-in-mouth rides. The only ride that managed to extract a sound off my mouth was this one called 'Space Mountain'.* But to be fair to Disney, it really is a fairyland. You step in and forget where you are. I swear the rows of shops were pried out of their stories. The staff, vehicles and food were all dressed to the mood and music just floats about, it's like if you stretch out enough you can almost catch the musical notes. There was this ride in a boat, a whole simulation of Tarzan's lifestyle, that really worked it. Our boat 'skipper' was this guy who seemed like he absolutely believed in the danger of the river. Of course, the underwater animals, arc of skulls and a cave of fire (Real fire! ) which actually literally burned on the water, made the whole journey survivable. Amazing interactive technology! Basically, Disneyland is great for pictures, this two rides, and minor shopping. If none of your boxes were ticked, I suggest you rethink your Mickey ticket.

And then there were the drama workshops I tagged along to. Absurdly interesting. Again, I whack myself for joining GB. Learning how to 'holmat kekiri' doesn't sound as suave as 'Physical Theatre'.

On the last night, while the others went for a play, I decided to do something more useful. Like visit Central's H&M?! Hell yeah. Granted, I had to play down my expectations but what the heck, I shopped as everyone whiled their time away watching a dark somber play. I blame it on this season's style. Or lack of. H&M didn't have that holy-shit-i-can't-breathe-under-everything-i-wanna-buy effect though I now whack myself the third time for not getting any clothes. Managed to grab a pair of sandals, meticulously cute sunnies and a belt though. Only.

Singapore has a smell to it like no other place. I guess its a character thing. Like a shirt will eventually smell like their owner. I understand better now why people say traveling for work and traveling for fun are individual arenas. Traveling with work is already tiresome, what more for it.

&still love HK! I would tag along again anytime!
