Chinese New Year is here once again! And if not for the crazy red decorations and the petrifying songs, I'd say it's one of the best occasions in the year. Whether it rains or shines new year would still go on. We would still get our money, gamble it all away, and get more the next day. Is that exciting or what! Dammit, I cannot wait.
But on hindsight, the 3 weeks leading to that is a long wait. There is no end to the tests and exams we will have, just as there will never be a work-less day. Being a Singapore product is a tough job in itself; we work our brains to bits with our asses gradually losing feeling, and then dream and aspire of a job, which we then push towards, and go on to win it with a piece of paper as our medal and with the small scope of a singaporean mind, do our jobs with precise detail and leave little or no room for creativity. Let's do some math here. 3 weeks= 21 days= 15 school days,6 weekend days= at least 5 tests and quizzes, 54kg of worksheets to complete, 150 hours of school to complete.
at least now I know. I can go through this, like I have for the past 13 years of my life. The super need to look forward to something is so strong that if I don't, I may drop into depression.
..............................................
Perhaps.
At least I can find comfort in the fact that this year isn't moving as fast as last year was. Or can't I. But but am I glad I have people who have 'Fun' as their middle name, no matter what, they'll always be there to share their fun or absorb some of mine. Always finding new things to do, new ways to do the conventional, old ways to do the quirky and crazy possibilities for the 'MAYBE'.
Thanks clare for coming over!Lovelove the goodies you brought along.Lovelove you!Muackmuack! Found your moon?.
