We always think Singapore is such a beautiful secure dot,rubbish.
After my trip i realised how Singaporeans are all just floating,impractical,unreasonable assholes.I so wish i could stay there in Cam and not return.The primary kids there are so down-to-earth and practical,innocent and naive,pure and humble,sweet and clean..rarely heard of about kids here.They put the needs of the younger ones or their siblings before them,their own needs insignificant to those of another.Most of them are so poor you just cannot ever imagine going to school everyday on a motorbike or bicycle and playing with toys invented in the 50s' for their break.No canteen,no money,no basketball court..just friends and people and pure hearts and minds.How nice is that?No backstabbing.No anger,just pure hearts and sincere smiles.
I gave each of the kids that i taught this chocolate stick,just one each and the smiles they whipped up for you could shake the earth,contented with a simple gift unheard of in Singapore.I bet if the primary kids received this they would just be like"chey whats the biggie?i can get it myself."No wait some of the kids there are rich,really rich.They have been to california disneyland,hong kong disneyland etc.But so what?They still accept your gift with gratitude.Thats what matters.
While we were there,we stayed in the school itself.It was the methodist school in Phnom Penh.And i realised its the same school my church goes for mission too.Teaching there was fun because you really get to help them.There was this boy in P.5 called outhom who was like super bad in english i couldn't speak tp him but had to be translated into khmer,on the last day,he wrote this note to me in english perfecto.Not perfect but almost.Duh i was shocked.Like if you knew how to write so well how come you couldnt speak it right?But yeah anyway many kids wrote to me in their small handwriting and bad english.How touching.I was thinking of following my church this time round to cambodia too but i thought it'd be a tad bit too late alrdy.But anyway,on the last night we went to vietnam and that night it was raining so heavily while we were doing our night shopping!haha half of us ran all the way back to the hotel in the rain and we were soaking through our skin by the time we reached.haha but it was super fun running..too bad our teacher had idiotic freaking strignent rules about guys going to girls dorms and vice versa or else it'll be more fun.I should have bought more though,it was too little.argh..nvm i am so confirmed going next year.
